Hello, I’m Anne

My Experience

I have extensive experience in both private practice and a Department of Health service, where I provide assessment and therapy for children, teens, and families facing acute and complex mental health challenges. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, I work alongside psychologists, psychiatrists, and other professionals, with access to paediatric psychiatrists for comprehensive care.

Many assume they need a psychologist for mental health support, but clinical social workers take a broader, systemic approach, considering relationships, environment, and life circumstances, rather than focusing solely on individual treatment.

Working alongside other professionals in this role keeps my skills sharp, allowing me to mentor peers while continuing to learn. My special interest is in complex trauma, which is often misdiagnosed and mismanaged, as it can mimic other mental health conditions. I focus on providing understanding, validation, and tailored interventions to help clients heal.

Three Pillars of My Approach

Therapy is not just for times of crisis—it’s a space for growth, self-discovery, and healing. Whether you're struggling with emotional distress, past trauma, or everyday stress, therapy can help your everyday stresses, I’m here to support you.

Compassion & Connection

I believe that healing begins with a strong therapeutic relationship. I provide a warm, supportive space where you can feel safe to share your experiences without judgment.

Evidence-Based & Tailored Care

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I integrate various evidence-based modalities, such as CBT, EMDR, and mindfulness, to suit your unique needs.

A Personalised Approach

Mental health is influenced by many factors—relationships, past experiences, and environment. My therapy considers the whole person, working towards lasting emotional and psychological well-being.
