You don’t need a referral to book an appointment, but as a Medicare-registered provider, you may be eligible for rebates through a GP Mental Health Plan. This can cover up to 6 sessions, or up to 10 after a review. Some private health funds may also provide rebates—check with your provider to see what’s covered.
